FORTE App: How can I open and play sheet music?

After starting the FORTE Sheet Music Reader app, open any file (in MusicXML, MIDI or FORTE Mobile format).

You are now in score view. The whole score is displayed on your screen. Use the touch screen to easily scroll through the score, or zoom in and out using two fingers.

To play your score, use the green play button positioned underneath the score. The playback starts immediately. To stop playback, simply touch the screen once.

If you have unlocked FORTE Editor, you can open the mixer for further playback options. Touch the mixer icon at the bottom right.

In the mixer you have - as in FORTE - the possibility to select instrument sounds, change the volume of individual voices, switch voices to Solo or Mute and much more.

You can also transpose individual voices or the entire score, or delete selected voices.

Attention: The transposition in the mixer refers only to the playback. If you want to transpose the visible notes in the score, you can use the Editor toolbar above the score. In the Editor's options menu (icon at the top left), you can transpose individual staves or the entire score as you wish.

With FORTE Editor you can also enter a new playback tempo. To do this, use the metronome symbol on the far right of the editor bar at the top.
