In this short video tutorial we will show you how to change the tempo during a score. In the example the main tempo is set to 120 beats per minute (main tab 'Playback'). First you have to insert a new tempo mark. By double clicking on it the properties window will open. Change the tempo from 60 to 140. Then insert a 'a tempo' sign after the fast part of the score. That will reduce the tempo back to the main tempo that has been set in the main tab 'Playback'.
If you do not want to display the tempo change in your score you can hide these elements by using the properties window. You can make hidden things visible again by clicking the "Eye" -"Show Hidden Objects" in the Home Tab (FORTE 11). In earlier versions by selecting 'Hidden' under 'Voices'. That option is located in the main tab 'Home'.
